Don't you love it when you go to see a concert of a band you like and the opening act blows your mind? Me too. This was exactly the case this past Thursday night – fortunately the season's 90 millionth snow storm didn't stop the magic that was the double-billing of Wildbirds & Peacedrums and St. Vincent. Phew! Boy, was it great – my favorite from St. Vincent was probably her cover of "These Days" – here's a version of it: And my favorite from Wildbirds & Peacedrums was... everything. I'm finding that I'm jonesing for some France-time, especially the time I spent in France studying with Studio Escalier in 2007 and 2008. Sigh. Here's a little sketch I did while in Argenton-Château almost 3 years ago... wow, how time flies!
